London Olympic Stadium Up For Sale!

This is hilarious – the Olympics haven’t even happened yet, but bids are already being accepted from property investors/companies to buy the London Olympic Stadium once the 2012 games have finished.

According to a new report, as of yesterday The Olympic Park Legacy Company are accepting bids for the stadium, and will keep this bidding open until the end of September this year.

Now I know this is serious – the Olympics have cost the UK a fortune so something definitely needs to be done to recoup this money – but I still can’t believe they are already trying to sell it before it has even been used!

What are they doing?

If you haven’t already heard about this, the Olympic Park Legacy Company is essentially accepting bids over the next month and a half, but only if property investors/company’s send in their plans for what they want to do with it.

And so far there have been about 100…

Margaret Ford, the chairwoman has indicated that they’d prefer the stadium be used for future sporting events; however they have accepted bids for commercial, health and educational uses.
